Spoken English classes and Personality Development classes for 9th and 11th class students at Jaigopal Garodia Girls' HSS, Chennai. Mrs. Vijaya, a professor from the Madras Christian College, is conducting Spoken English classes; and Mrs. Subba, a psychologist, is conducting Personality Development classes, for 100 girls from the 9th and 11th standards at JGHSS. Since most classes in this school are in the Tamil language, students are not comfortable with spoken English. The personality development classes teach simple etiquette. For instance, students are taught to not interrupt someone else when they are talking; to learn to wait for their turn; and other civilities that may stand them in good stead when they graduate from high school and look for a job. These classes will cost OPEN $600 per year.
