OPEN spent $1000 towards blankets, schoolbooks, notebooks, uniforms, and cooking vessels for the Tamil Nadu State Orphanage in Madurai. Most inmates are orphans or children of single parents who cannot afford to raise their children. Classes 1-5 are taught at the orphanage, and Classes 6-12 are taught in a Government school nearby.
