OPEN members were shocked and saddened by the loss of life and property due to the Tsunami that devastated large parts of Tamil Nadu, Sri Lanka and South East Asia. The immediate need of the hour was money, and OPEN decided to donate $2500 from its funds to the Association for India's Development (AID) for Tsunami relief.
